How To Make Raw Almond Milk

We Love Homemade Raw Almond Milk

We are talking about homemade raw almond milk today. I have never been a big milk drinker, it’s good with breakfast cereal and as an ingredient in lots of products but I know a lot of people who like their milk.

After reading the book The China Study by T. Colin Campbell and learning how well animal protein grows cancer cells, I was convinced that cow’s milk is not great for the human body. I like different types of milk for various applications.

Soy tastes good with a chai latte and you can get some yummy frozen coconut treats but I didn’t find almond milk great with anything. Then I learned how to make it. Fresh made raw almond milk with a little honey and vanilla is now my favorite thing to have with my morning cereal. Here is the Happy Healthy Living technique. How to make raw almond milk.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Nut milk bag

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Raw organic almonds
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 - 2 tbsp Raw Honey
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Instructions

  • Soak the raw almonds for at least 8 hours, I have found that 24 hours is ideal and seems to make the milk creamier.
  • Put the 2 1/2 cups almonds into the blender, add 3 cups of water, 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey to taste, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and blend well.
  • Secure the nut milk bag over the container and pour the mixture into it.
  • Let the milk seep through the nut milk bag or squeeze it out.
  • Drink

This almond milk is a great replacement for animal milks and taste great. It is also so much better than the almond milk that you can get in the store. If you are working on changing to a raw foods diet, this is the perfect milk solution. We would love to hear your comments and have you share this with your friends.
